This Gruesome Crime has nothing to do with Islam

The gruesome, senseless and heinous murder of the World Street Journal reporter should be condemned by all Muslims.

The men who kidnapped and slaughtered Mr. Daniel Pearl were cowardly human beings who brought shame to their people and to the faith they claim to belong to.

If they were indeed against the US involvement in the military campaign in Afghanistan, why didn’t they go to Afghanistan and face the solders on  a one-to-one basis instead of killing an innocent civilian who did harm to anyone?

These ruthless criminals should be punished swiftly and severely.

There is no justification for what these murderers did to an innocent journalist and a father to an unborn child. Mr. Pearl was brutally murdered, not for a crime he committed but because of the color of his skin and due to his ethnicity.

Extremists have no logic to follow, no common sense to adhere to, no human value in their action, and no mercy for any living thing except for those narrow-minded ignorant people who follow them.  If you disagree to their way of thinking, you are viewed as an inferior who is fit to be killed.

Every nation, every religion, and every nationality has these sick individuals who don’t appreciate and value the differences in humanity.

Islam, as with all other major world religions that call for peace and value respect and harmony between people, is completely against this senseless and brutal act that was committed against Mr. Pearl.

People should not associate this heinous crime with the religion of Islam which has been hijacked by these barbarians. It has nothing to do with this act of barbarism. The perpetrators should be viewed as criminals and not as people who represent the religion of Islam which promotes peace and goodwill.
